Data Sources (PDF, MDX, URL…)

The Luxia chatbot operates by leveraging data sources integrated by the user. These sources enable the bot to generate accurate responses based on a company's existing content.

📚 Supported Data Source Types

Luxia allows multiple types of data sources to be added to enrich the chatbot’s knowledge base:

Data Source Type	Description
PDF	Import documents (guides, manuals, FAQs, customer support materials).
MDX	Technical documentation in Markdown format, ideal for blog articles and tutorials.
URL	Extract content from a specific webpage or an entire website.

🔄 URL Source Processing Modes

When a webpage is added as a source, Luxia offers different indexing modes:

Single Page: Only the specified page is analyzed.
Subpages: Subpages within the same domain are also included.
Entire Domain: The entire website is explored and indexed.

Each mode allows for varying levels of depth and precision in data collection.

📌 Steps to Import a Source

Go to the "Data Sources" section from the dashboard.
Click on "Add a Source".
Select the type of source (PDF, MDX, or URL).
Upload the file or enter the URL.
Start indexing to make the data available for the chatbot.
